So having a tiny baby at home is a bit stressful and to add to that stress baby Braxton failed his newborn screen...boo. Braxton's fatty acid levels were slightly elevated on his initial newborn screen indicating that he may have a fatty acid metabolic disorder. SCARY! We went to Willow Creek Hospital and had his test redone and until we found out the results the doctor recommended that we feed Brax every 2.5-3 hours around the clock to keep his blood glucose level high...whew sounds exhausting to this breast feeding momma.
Also at his first appointment we had a weigh in. If you recall, Braxton weighed 6 pounds 7 ounces at birth but by the time that we left the hospital he was down to 5 pounds 13 ounces:( 
Drum roll please.....Braxton was back up to 6 pounds 1 ounce! Yay!
