Toddler Chronicles August 2014: 23 months

I cannot truly wrap my head around the fact that we are enjoying Braxton Cole's very last month as a 1-year-old. We are soaking up these sweet moments and making the most of the end of our summer at the same time!!
Braxton will now repeat anything.....and I do mean anything. Mommy and daddy have had to start filtering and we find ourselves spelling out some of your favorite things such as (M-i-c-k-e-y, p-a-n-c-a-k-e-s,  or b-a-t-h)

This year marked your 2nd visit to the Tonitown Grape festival and you were now big enough to ride some of the rides! In reality the carnival workers really did not care how tall you were as long as mommy was brave enough to put you on the rides!! I was a nervous wreck but you had a blast being brave with Ansley!

August 16th is grandma's birthday and we spent the weekend in Hot Springs to celebrate. Luke's Aunt Sandra and Uncle Bill also came to celebrate and that gave Braxton the chance for his first boat ride. He LOVED all things "lake." He loved riding on the boat, jumping off of the boat, and riding on the tube! His excitement made me feel a little guilty that this was his first experience at the lake!
Braxton's daycare has been reporting that he was pooping and peeing in the potty with pretty good consistency. So far at home, we have not seen the same behaviors. Braxton demands to poop in his pants at home when we even suggest the potty. ha But this month while we were at the beach, Braxton finally POOPED IN THE POTTY!! This month has also given us our first glimpse of what 2 looks like with a few fits over ridiculous things. So far they are pretty short-lived and easily redirected! We will see what the coming months have in store!
Forward Facing for the 1st time!
Harley and Braxton are best buds!!
