On our own....headed home!!

Beckett was born on a beautiful March day which was followed by a winter storm that crippled road conditions and made for a quiet second day in the hospital with just mommy, daddy, and Beckett. We were able to get in tons of much needed snuggles but by Thursday morning we were anxious to get home to Braxton Cole and our pillows even though we knew we would spend little time resting on them. Ha
Beckett was down to 7lbs 15oz on discharge day and had to undergo a circumsicion before we could put our sleepless hospital nights behind us.
Of course a short photo shoot was required prior to our departure. Sweet Beckett looked too cute in real clothes not to document his travels.

At home Braxton Cole was sooo excited to see us and we definitely felt the same. Jeez I missed that little guy!! Luke's mom stayed with us on our first night home to help us get a little more sleep. For this we were grateful!

Meeting our new guy!

The birth of a new baby is such a happy and momentous occasion. Luke and I feel blessed to have such great family and friends to share the day with! We loved all our visitors to snuggle our sweet Beckett Allen!

Brotherly Love

Braxton Cole has been so sweet during this whole pregnancy. He knows that he is getting a baby brother (brudder) who is currently in mommy's tummy and who is coming out in March. Of course I am not sure that he truly understands what this means but its still sweet to hear.
Braxton loves to kiss and hug his brudder(my belly). He is also extremely interested in playing doctor now which means performing ultrasounds and giving shots. During bedtime stories, Braxton frequently requests, "I lay on Beckett?" when he wants to snuggle and lay with me as he falls asleep.

We are lucky to have great family support because Luke's mom was able to keep Braxton on delivery day and then bring him to the hospital to meet his baby brother after nap. Braxton was excited to look at his baby brother through the nursery window while he was getting a bath and getting dressed.
He was a little nervous when he got to our room and mommy was in the hospital bed but he warmed up quickly and was climbing all over the bed and my sore tummy. Ha! Braxton loved his present from Beckett and when Beckett came back to the room from the nursery it was love at first sight. He was excited to look at Beckett, kiss Beckett "on the lips", and hold him! He was not sure that he wanted other people to hold Beckett and he was quick to say, "put Beckett back in hims bed!"

Braxton stayed and visited for a little while and was excited to spend the night with grandma so there were no tears when he wasn't able to spend the night with his mommy, daddy, and baby brudder.
