Wrapping up 2012

Wow!
December is a busy, busy month! We started out the month with the no good very bad day...December 3. Mommy went back to work and you started school. It was super hard on mommy but after a couple of weeks it has started getting easier.

Since its December and Christmas is approaching we had to take you to have your picture taken with santa. It was pretty quick and painless. There wasn't a line and you just stared at mommy and daddy acting silly to get a smile from you. We weren't successful. While we were there to see Santa we took the opportunity to capture a few family photos.
Not great since  its a picture of a picture!

Mommy and daddy got to have a night out baby free for Mommy's work Christmas party. We weren't worried about you at all because Auntie Lulu and Kyle stayed with you. Kyle had deep conversations with you about life and Auntie Lulu tried her best to get a giggle out of you.

Baby B attended his first cheesy Christmas sweater party! He even dressed up in a stocking turned shirt that his daddy made!

December wouldn't be complete without a Christmas photo shoot!!

3 month old photo shoot!!

Happy Birthday baby boy!!!!

3 months old and counting.....

To Braxton: We truly could not imagine our lives without you! You have brought us so much joy in 3 short months. We are amazed by you daily.

First Smile caught on camera!
The facts: You are small (8lbs 7oz.). You fall less than 5th percentile for weight, height, and head circumference. We now have weight check appointments every 2 weeks to make sure you are gaining weight. You have acid reflux and are taking a form of liquid Zantac which is helping to decrease spit up. You are wearing either newborn or 0-3 month sleepers because you are starting to get to tall for newborns. Your newborn clothes are still the only thing that fits during the day.

Nap time in your crib
Things your doing: Socially smiling, holding prone prop with just a little help, fighting your sleep by thrashing your head around. We now call you our lil shark because of said thrashing. You still eat 3.5 ounces every 3 hours during daytime hours but you pretty consistently skip one feed at night time, meaning 7 meals daily. You still love to sleep swaddled in your nap nanny. You have had 2 stretches of 8 full hours of sleep. We try not to expect those:)

Things that you like: Mommy singing "You are my Sunshine", daddy singing "Memphis on the River", bath time, kicking around on your back
Things that you dislike: lots of handling by lots of people, waiting on mommy when its time to eat, your night time diaper change with daddy
Go Hogs Go!
Deer Camp with Dad
Tummy Time

Mommy's birthday!
Auntie Kristen came to visit from Colorado
Sweet boy at nap time
You have finally grown out of some newborn clothes:)
The bumbo is hard:)
Big Events this month: Thanksgiving, Deer camp with dad, Mom started back to work, and you started school

The Dreaded December 3rd!

12 weeks used to seem like such a long time. Thats 3 months. 1/4 of a year.
Now that Braxton is a part of our lives.....time flies and all of a sudden 12 weeks have come and gone and it's time for mommy to go back to work. We had been watching this day approach on the calendar and I had been trying to prepare myself but leaving my baby boy with strangers....Who's idea was this?
Needless to say, I was a hot mess all morning getting ready and saying goodbye to my man. He was as cool as a cucumber.

Braxton is going to Oak Grove Montessori School in Springdale. Mrs. Denna is his teacher. Luke was in charge of drop off and said Braxton was very content in Mrs. Denna's arms.

I of course went to visit at lunch. Braxton was perfectly content in his pink swing. Ha

Braxton knew that I was very upset so he came up with a plan and asked his daddy to send his mommy flowers to work with a note that read....

Braxton's Great Grandparents 60th Wedding Anniversary

How impressive is that?? Jack and Irene Kordsmeier (Luke's Grandparents) have been married for 60 years and have raised 11 wonderful children together followed with 29 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren (this is where Braxton fits into the equation)
We celebrated this momentous occasion with a party at the country club in Morrilton. Braxton slept through the majority of the party except when he woke up and spit up all over my dress. Ha
