When Aunt Amber confirmed that she was going to bring Jagger and Piper to Northwest Arkansas for a weekend of fun with Braxton we got so excited and started thinking of all the places we should take them. Of course the Bentonville Farmer's Market, Crepes Paulette, and Splash Park were top of the list for Saturday morning but we needed an activity for Sunday also.
Both Braxton and Jagger have been to the zoo before and we all know how zoos go.....look in the cages to try to see an animal that is nowhere to be found but instead is inside sleeping or eating. Such a disappointment so often. The place that the boys had not been is the Gentry Safari!!!! Lucky for us the safari is about 30 minutes from our house. Soooo Fun!! The boys got to pet a monkey, a tortoise, a fancy bird, and a kangaroo. Jagger was also super excited to get an up close and personal look at giraffes and zebras!!! The great thing about Gentry is that they let you get really close to the cages so you can get a really good view(even for small guys like Braxton) of everything. The boys loved the animals....they were a little nervous at some points but they gathered their bravery and did some pretty big stuff!!!
It was a pretty mild day so we were lucky enough to see the big cats up and moving about their cages, along with a rhinoceros and hippopotamus!!!
