Mini vacation

Braxton's daycare is closed for Spring break which means that this momma is also off for the week. Ha! This year my momma took off Monday and Tuesday so that I could get a little work in! Braxton and her braved their first adventure together all alone....Chuck E Cheese! Braxton wasn't nice to DD and told her he pooped right after she got him in his carseat requiring a trip back inside for a false alarm. Once they were on their way Braxton decided to spill his milk all over himself in his carseat meaning no trip inside Chuck E Cheese. After naptime Braxton and DD tried their adventure again and this trip was a success!!!

Luke took Thursday off so that we could take a mini family vacation to Kansas City. I am soooo glad that we did! We had so much fun....meaning Braxton loved it and we loved watching Braxton!!

Thursday: We started with a trip to T-Rex Cafe. Braxton was scared of the dinosaurs but liked to watch them from the safety of his table between mommy and daddy. We also did some shopping at the outdoor mall which was fun. That night we went and visited Luke's cousin Brittany. Braxton loved standing at her windows and watching the "pains" (planes) and cars. He also loved playing with her dog Howie and they exchanged many kisses and even shared a snack which Braxton wasn't excited about. "no, no dog"

Friday: The morning started at Union Station with their science exhibits and the mini train exhibit. Braxton could have watched those trains ALL DAY LONG. He ran all around that room shouting "goo goo train" "goo goo train". It was adorable. Next we took Braxton to the aquarium. He liked looking at the fish and even touched a starfish. Overall I must admit that Braxton is more of a train man than fish. Ha Afterward we needed lunch and a train fix so off to Fritz's we went. At Fritz's, trains deliver your food to the table and drive around near the ceiling of the restaurant continuously. He loved it and ate more than he ever has because he was worried that if he stopped eating he would have to leave.

Saturday: We went to the zoo!!! The weather was perfect because all the animals were out playing except for the monkeys that were still inside. Braxton's favorite animals were the polar bears and kangaroos. The polar bear was putting on quite the show all day doing back flips for his audience and at this zoo the kangaroos were roaming around free. We did have an accident watching the kangaroos. Mommy and daddy were preoccupied by the fact that they were running around uncaged so we did not notice Braxton standing in his stroller to get a better view. Whoops. He face planted on the concrete but only cried for 10 seconds total and got his first real battle wound with a pretty nice knot on his forehead.
