Santa Claus is coming to town!

I have always loved all the festivities leading up to Christmas but I must admit that having a kiddo makes it exponentially more exciting! Braxton loves everything that I throw at him.....well except Santa, that did not go over well. He loves getting up daily to open his advent calendar and knows we are getting our house ready for Jesus. He loves singing Christmas carols...his favorite this year is "Santa Claus is coming to town!" He is amazed by Christmas lights and likes to talk about "his" lights that his daddy put up outside. Of course we asked Braxton what he would like Santa to bring him this year and he consistently had the same answers for over a month: 1. Fence for his barn 2. Saw that cuts wood like my daddy 3. Food for my outside playhouse. I was super impressed with the thought and practicality of his requests! Here's a summary of our month with pictures!!
Gobbles the Elf is baaaacccckkkk.....He arrived after nap and of course came with lots of goodies including Christmas jammies, books, and an Advent Calendar! Braxton was so excited!!
It wouldn't be Christmas without a trip to see Santa with the Cunninghams. Ansley did great and chatted it up with the big guy but even with her moral support and encouragement Braxton was not a fan. We did manage to get him to sit on Santa's lap long enough for us to get a picture.

Last year we went to Silver Dollar City with the Hill's and Braxton was something crazy like 1-inch too short for most of the rides so we knew we wanted to take him back for a repeat! We had a blast and Braxton rode so many rides. We also got to watch the light parade and see Rudolph. His favorite part of the whole day was the new Firemen's Landing.

We also took our annual trip to the Square for the lights of the Ozarks!! We went to dinner beforehand with Dee Dee and Uncle Nick and everyone was excited when Braxton decided he wanted to ride the camel!

Gingerbread houses are still hard but we try. Ha
